Installation Guide for EasyMind

Using Universal Plugin Manager 

  1. Select Add-ons in the Confluence administration menu 
  2. Log-in as administrator
  3. Choose the option Find new add-ons in the left menu
  4. Search the Marketplace for EasyMind
  5. Click on Free trial or Buy now (depends on your decision)
  6. In case of Free trial, fill in the e-mail address and password to obtain a trial license
  7. In case of Purchase, you will be redirected to the Marketplace and follow the procedure
  8. Add-on will be installed automatically


Download from Marketplace

  1. Download EasyMind add-on from Atlassian Marketplace

  2. Select Add-ons in the Confluence administration menu
  3. Log-in as administrator
  4. Choose the option Manage add-ons in the left menu
  5. Click on the link Upload add-on in the top right
  6. Browse your computer for the saved installation file of EasyMind add-on and press Upload
  7. The installation will start automatically and message will pop-up after successful installation. Click OK
  8. Click on Free trial or Buy now (depends on your decision)
  9. In case of Free trial, fill in the e-mail address and password to obtain a trial license
  10. In case of Purchase, you will be redirected to the Marketplace and follow the procedure


Check the License/Update

EasyMind add-on is already installed in your Confluence, but license already expired: 

  1. Select Add-ons in the Confluence administration menu
  2. Log-in as administrator
  3. Choose the option Manage add-ons in the left menu
  4. Find the EasyMind add-on in the list of User-installed add-ons 
  5. Press Update or Buy now
  6. In case of Update, the installation will start automatically 
  7. In case of Purchase, you will be redirected to the Marketplace and follow the procedure


(lightbulb) When working with larger mind maps (200+ nodes), you might experience some issues with saving the map. If this is your case, please continue reading.

The maximum allowed POST requests size (paramentr - maxPostSize) is limited. By default, Tomcat is set for 2MB (https://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-8.0-doc/config/http.html) so in case of large mind maps this limit is exceeded. What you want to do is to turn off this limit to avoid such behaviour. Modify the configuration on Tomcat server in server.xml according to the documentation, for turning off the limit put  <Connector maxPostSize="-1" ... />.
